Mission
Statement:
The CVCC Career Development Program prepares all district
students to make the best possible informed career choices
and positions them for future career success by providing
meaningful age-appropriate resources and relevant experiences.
To that end, our program is dedicated to providing:
Students
with activities, opportunities, and resources empowering
them to begin to answer the age-old question: “What
do I want to be when I grow up?”
Parents
with support and information that will help them guide
their children as they make important life decisions.
Teachers
with professional development opportunities and career-related
activities and resources to tie their curricula to the
world of work, answering another age-old question: “Why
do I have to learn this?”
Guidance
Personnel with tools to increase self-awareness
and decision-making skills in students.
Administrators
with a central motivating factor to position
students for future career success.
Community
members with opportunities to make an impact
on students as they share their careers as vital classroom
resources.
